Divine Monkey Homeopathy is dedicated to helping awaken your body's natural desire for balance. Physical illness, pain, anxiety or depression can lead to feeling disconnected from the joy of daily life. Skilled homeopathic treatment can help stimulate your body's natural ability to restore health, placing you back on the path to well-being and vibrant living.
“The introduction of homeopathy forced the old school doctor to stir around and learn something of a rational nature about his business. You may honestly feel grateful that homeopathy survived the attempts of the allopaths to destroy it. ”
— Mark Twain
About Sandi Kaplan
I have been in private practice since 2003, serving the general population as well as particular communities such as: women and children experiencing homelessness, women with cancer, LGBT communities, youth and people living on low incomes.
I have directed Student Clinic at Berkeley Institute of Homeopathy, have taught at the Centre for Homeopathic Education in New York, and have provided services for a myriad of free and low income clinics. I am a Trauma Informed Practitioner and I have been working in the Social Justice and Anti-Racism movements for nearly three decades. I currently supervise homeopathic students and facilitate anti-racism workshops for predominantly white-identified people looking to create an anti-racist society.
I am involved with Homeopathy for Health in Africa, a non-profit organization based in Tanzania, whose goal it is to relieve the suffering of people with HIV/AIDS using homeopathy.
Originally from New York City, I lived in the California Bay Area for over 30 years;
I am now calling Sacramento home.
I attended Pacific Academy of Homeopathy in San Francisco and both attended and coordinated the Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathy, an advanced international program for practitioners. I have studied under several master homeopaths over the years and earned my advanced degree as Practitioner of Classical Homeopathy (PCH) as an adjunct to my Certificate in Classical Homeopathy (CCH).
Homeopathy is a holistic system of healthcare that treats the whole person. Symptoms of illness represent the body's effort to express imbalance. When we treat these symptoms with western medication, we stop the body from expressing an underlying need and possibly drive disease further inward.
Rather than treating symptoms and attempting to provide a standard single diagnosis, homeopathy supports the individual within the context of their life and attempts to restore a holistic sense of balance and wellness.
Divine Monkey Homeopathy has been effective in addressing a wide assortment of chronic and acute problems, such as digestive problems, problems related to pregnancy and labor, migraines and chronic headaches, allergies, depression and anxiety, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, influenza, sleep disorders, menopause, skin disorders, and much more.
But anyone - regardless of diagnosis - can benefit from homeopathic treatment, as homeopathy can increase an individual's overall strength and resistance, thus preventing future disease.
Treating the patient, not the disease.
Conventional medicine looks at a set of specific symptoms and ascribes a diagnosis. Medication that manages the main symptom is then often prescribed, and the person can get on with their life. Because the medication treats only the symptom, everyone with that particular symptom gets the same medication, and, very often, if the person goes off the medication, the symptom returns.
This is because the illness is still present in the body. In general, conventional healthcare relies on symptom management, not true healing.
Homeopathy looks at all the symptoms someone presents as a whole. Symptoms are treated as the body's best way of speaking what is wrong or out of balance. A homeopath then administers a homeopathic remedy which wakes the body up, so to speak, and reminds it how to heal itself.
